II.2.4) Description of procurement: Strategic contractor partners are required to provide expertise, guidance, support and resources in design, planning, management and delivery for the provision of Repair & Maintenance for Infrastructure Water and Waste Water refurbishment, responsive and operational repair services on a pan Scotland basis, including Islands. Activities may include but are not limited to: repairs to water pipes, valve and PRV installations, meter (revenue & network) installation & replacement, provision of new connections, replacement of lead supply pipes, replacement of fire hydrants, repairs to sewers, sewer jetting, sewer CCTV surveys, sewer flood clean ups, response to Environmental Pollution Incidents (EPIs), sewer vactor services. The services vary in nature from reactive or responsive based on customer or operational needs through to planned programmes of works. Services will require to be provided during normal working hours as well as out of hours and including weekends. To aid efficient resource management by our strategic contractor partners, an appropriate level of lower value civils/infrastructure projects on water and wastewater infrastructure will be routed through the partners for delivery. The Construction, Design and Management (CDM) 2015 Regulations apply to these works and successful strategic contractor partners will be expected to discharge their duties in-line with this. Strategic contractor partners will work closely with Scottish Water resources in ensuring the delivery of a consistently excellent customer experience.
