Scottish Water is currently investigating the method of recycling water cake to agricultural locations; if approved this would require the supplier to provide suitable agricultural vehicles for transport to these locations from some Scottish Water sites. If the supplier cannot provide agricultural vehicles for the transport of material to agricultural locations Scottish Water will utilise a supplier who can provide the required service. This will not impact on the transport of material from sites not going to agricultural outlets.
Scottish Water is in the process of absorbing Water Treatment and Waste Water Treatment Private Finance Initiatives into Scottish Water operations. Where this happens SW will utilise framework suppliers to meet demand for Bio Resource Transport Services.
