Short Description: Scottish Water Laboratories are looking to purchase an on-line automated liquid / liquid extraction preparation station coupled to a GCMS or GCMSMS system to analyse for Geosmin, 2-Methylisoborneol (2-MIB), Anisole, 2-Ethyl-5,5-dimethyl-1,3-dioxane (2-EDD), 2-Isopropyl-3-methoxypyrazine (IPMP), 2,4,6-Trichloroanisole (TCA) and 2,4,6-Tribromoanisole down to a detection limit of 1ngL-1 in potable and untreated waters. The system must be able to prepare and analyse a minimum of 48 injects per day. The supplier must also be able to provide an on-going warranty/servicing/maintenance agreement for system. Similar automated systems which can meet this requirement may also be considered. The system must be able to cope with the high level of interference present in untreated waters while still meeting the accuracy (maximum RSD of 10%) and precision targets (maximum bias of 10%) required for this analysis.
