Title: GB-Scotland: Coaching & Mentoring Software
Notice type: Competitive Contract Notice
Authority: Scottish Water
Nature of contract: Not applicable
Procedure: Not applicable
Short Description: Scottish Water is seeking to procure a Saas coaching and mentoring programme which will create a platform to support learning and talent development for Scottish Water leaders and employees. The platform will also support and enable more effective and efficient matching, scheduling and goal setting and with the ability to track and analyse benefits and results. Scottish Water are actively looking to increase peer to peer learning and one way we are doing this is through coaching and mentoring. We will see an increase on the demand for coaching and mentoring when we put greater emphasis on the importance of this, making it more difficult to manage it manually. Having a system will enable us to grow in this area, sharing skills and expertise across the organisation and enabling colleagues to seek out a mentor or coach without manual intervention from the People Directorate in most cases. Our Goals Increase our sense of ‘leadership community’ through leaders supporting leaders Support new leaders by increasing their confidence to lead change and transformation Increase the visibility and availability of social learning opportunities Support career growth and transfer experience though coaching and mentoring Increase the scale and effectiveness of reverse mentoring Provide structured coaching and mentoring support to diverse groups of employees Support employee wellbeing through coaching from our wellbeing champions Support the retention and development of high potential and specialist employees Demonstrate the ROI and business results that can be achieved through coaching and mentoring 4 key areas should be targeted to digitally transform the way coaching & mentoring are delivered, address the issues with the current arrangements and achieve the ambition. These areas are: Digitalisation – move from the current manual process to a digital solution that would support and track coaching/mentoring activity. Targeted skillsets – move to a managed digital solution to allow specific skillsets and requirements to be matched up to the best placed person within the system. This will enable users to develop in their desired area that will then allow them to progress their career within SW. Enhanced Support – move to a structured process for coaching and mentoring, guided by the system with the ability to interact socially with others providing a sense of community and keep records of progress. Insights – move from the ad-hoc manual collection of coaching and mentoring data to a systemised digital process-driven approach which enables evaluation. Scottish Water intends to award contract to a single supplier. Contract duration is 3 year initial term with 5 x 12 months extension options at Scottish Water's sole discretion. Estimated contract value (inclusive of extension options) is £320,000.
